Carya Does Stampede in Bowmont

Yahoo! Stampede fever is sweeping Calgary, and we’re excited to get in on the action. While we help individuals and families throughout the city, this year we’ll be getting in to the Stampede spirit in Bowmont, a community we’ve been a part of for many years.

We offer a number of programs from our Bowmont office that cater to Calgarians in all of life’s stages. Ready 4 Learning helps build community and promotes positive development among children 0-5 years old and their parents. The Way In connects older adults to services that help eliminate isolation and enhance quality of life. Golden Hands Community Engagement provides seniors with opportunities to help fellow seniors with home repair and maintenance needs.  Through Carya’s Elder Service Corps, older adults turn their life experience in to community and social impact. We’re proud to have made an impact in the lives of so many in this vibrant neighborhood. Most of these programs are provided free of charge or on a sliding scale, and with your support we can continue to help Calgarians in Bowmont and beyond.

The Bowmont community has been so good to us over the years, so we’re excited to give a little bit of that love back, Stampede style. On Saturday, July 9th, look for the Carya float in the Bowness Parade.  There will be plenty of fun and entertainment for the whole family down on Bowness Road, and you might just come away with some candy, too!

On Thursday, July 14th we’ll be slinging pancakes in the parking lot of our Bowmont office at our Stampede breakfast. Come for the free food and stay for some great conversations with your fellow community members.

We hope to see you in Bowmont this Stampede week! Whatever your plans are during Calgary’s world famous western festival, make sure you have fun, stay safe, and give your neighbours and fellow Calgarians an extra smile. Yahoo!
