Parent Peer Support Group
We believe in the strength of parents, families and community. Through relationships with each other we are able to build on our potential. The Parent Peer Support Group is a volunteer-driven, parent-lead group for parents and caregivers that empowers them to make changes in the relationship with their child(ren). The group helps create the space for moms, dads and caregivers to come together and collectively support the parental journey by offering mentorship and practical strategies.
The Parent Peer Support Group brings parents of teens who are struggling to make positive choices together using a format informed by evidence and research in child and brain development. We inspire individual growth, healthy families and strong communities through professionally supported and structured peer groups for moms, dads and caregivers. Embedded within the structure of other carya programs, we also provide education to parents, support system navigation and referrals for other services. Groups meet weekly in two different locations and are facilitated by parents.
