Functioning Families Together

A research project undertaken in partnership with carya and Catholic Family Service.

The project uses Functional Family Therapy (FFT), an evidenced based model, to engage families and build skills that reduce risk factors and increase internal individual, family, and community strengths.

FFT is part of the continuum of services off­ering counselling for families experiencing issues related to risk factors for criminal and/or crime involvement, family conflict, substance use, school truancy, mental health, AND have a youth 7 – 18 years old who are living at home.

Functioning Families Together is an randomized study that is designed to help identify how to best utilize the continuum of care model with families experiencing low, moderate and high risks for criminal involvement.
