Older Adults

Help and hope at any age.

We can all experience challenges and feelings of depression, anxiety and loneliness throughout our lives and it’s normal to struggle more as you reach the golden age of 65.

You might feel loss of meaningful roles in your family and community, declining health and mobility, isolation and loneliness, strained family relationships, or worry about who will take care of you as you age. Long-standing issues such as hoarding and depression, can also intensify with age.

carya is here for you.

To connect with older adult counselling, phone 403-205-5244.

We also offer groups and community activities for older adults. Learn more here.

Our services are on a ‘pay what you can afford’ basis that our intake department and your counsellor will guide you through. Sessions are currently available in-person, online, and via phone.

Your therapist will support you through whatever challenges you’re facing and help you co-learn about:

  • Communicating with partners, children, and  parents
  • Coping strategies for stress, depression, and anxiety
  • Understanding and managing emotions
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Connecting with your community for natural supports
