Building Brains Through Early Talk
Have you ever considered that the amount you talk with your child directly influences their brain development, including their reading, writing, and communication skills both at school and at home?
LENA Start – Building Brains Through Early Talk is a program designed to empower parents to foster their children’s language development and early literacy skills. The program offers parents valuable insights into their child’s language exposure and interaction patterns.
During the program families will use and engage with LENA’s patented “talk pedometer technology” to measure their child’s language environment. Over the course of the 10 weekly sessions, families explore the data in the form of personalized, actionable feedback reports, discussing research-based strategies in the weekly sessions to increase the quality of talk at home.
What can I expect?
By attending this program parents and caregivers will gain an understanding of how early “talk” or verbal interactions with their child positively impacts early brain development and developmental milestones.
The program provides many resources, including tips, strategies, and activities that parents can integrate into their daily routines to improve their child’s language development. These gatherings foster a sense of community, connection, and support among parents.
