EMERGENCY COMMUNITY RESOURCES

Distress Centre Calgary provides 24-hour crisis supportprofessional counselling, youth peer support, and navigation and referrals through 211 and Coordinated Entry. For immediate support and guidance, contact their 24/7 Distress Centre line at (403) 266-HELP (4357).

988 Suicide Crisis Helpline is a new national three-digit helpline that provides urgent, live support by phone and text for anyone who is thinking about suicide, or who is worried about someone they know. Call or text 9-8-8 if you or someone you know is in need of support.

NON-EMERGENCY COMMUNITY RESOURCES

Community Connect YYC is a collaborative of Calgary agencies that connects Calgary’s Communities with affordable and barrier free access to mental health supports.

Gateway connects immigrants and refugees to programs and services aimed at facilitating a successful transition and integration into Canadian life.

Dial 8-1-1 for non-urgent health concerns and be connected with a healthcare professional.

Dial 2-1-1 for information on community, social, and government resources in Calgary and surrounding areas.

Dial 4-1-1 for directory assistance and details on non-emergency services.
