Helping Families Thrive with Play, Connection, and Trust
There is no instruction manual when it comes to being a parent. Each of us brings unique life experiences that shape who we are, and our little ones, no matter how old, have their own unique needs.
Carya’s Families in Community can individually support families with children 0 to 6 years old to build connections, strengthen their parenting and relationships, and learn more about the early years of childhood.
What can I expect?
In one-on-one sessions, using Theraplay principles and other research-based resources, our facilitators will guide you and your child through engaging activities that promote connection. Together, you’ll explore ways to nurture your child’s emotional growth and address specific concerns or challenges you may be facing.
Sessions are personalized to meet your unique needs, giving you practical tools to build a secure, positive environment for your child. You can expect:
- A deeper understanding of your child and their needs
- Strategies to engage and strengthen attachment with your child
Visits are typically one hour in length and take place in your home, in the community, or at our office. Support is short-term, usually lasting 3–4 months, with 6–10 sessions tailored to help you feel confident and supported as a caregiver.
