Families in Community

Play. Learn. Connect.

Establish a solid parenting foundation that will help your family thrive.

There is no instruction manual when it comes to being a parent. As parents, we all come with unique life experiences that shape us into who we are, and our small ones, no matter how old, come with their own unique needs.

Formerly known as Bowmont Families Together and Prime Time, Carya’s Families in Community groups supports families with children 0 to 6 years old to build connections, strengthen their parenting and relationships, and learn more about the early years of childhood.

What can I expect?

Is this support for me?

Families look different for everyone. Our Families in Community team supports families looking to connect and learn together by offering structured parenting skills groups along with a wealth of opportunities to meet and socialize with other parents through drop-in activities and groups.

Childminding is offered for our structured parentings groups..

Is there a cost?

There are no costs associated with our drop-in or structured parenting groups.

How do I access this programming?

Families in Community programs are offered at Carya’s Bowmont Commons and Village Commons locations.

As a new mother, the programs helped me out tremendously! The isolation that I felt was eased by being able to enjoy the programs. I was also able to meet other families in the area and create long-lasting relationships.
