Parent-Child Mother Goose® is an opportunity for you to strengthen the bond between you and your children. You will learn songs, rhymes, and stories to soothe, teach, and play with your child.
Parent-Child Mother Goose® is a nationally recognized program that is a group experience for parents and their babies and young children.
The program introduces adults and children to the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs, and stories together.
Parents gain skills and confidence which can enable them to create positive family patterns during their children’s crucial early years.
Children benefit from enjoyable, healthy early experiences with language and communication.

For Professionals
Carya hosts teacher training workshops for the Parent-Child Mother Goose® program. Trainings happen 1-2 times a year.
Earn your Level 1 certificate and become a Parent-Child Mother Goose® facilitator!
Your training will be followed by a 30-week self-evaluation period to encourage you to reflect on your learning and integrate the philosophy of the PCMG program into your practice.
In this 2 day workshop you will learn:
- The background and philosophy of the Parent-Child Mother Goose program
- How a session is organized for babies and for mixed ages (0-4)
- Ways to reach your target audience of participants
- How to teach and modify rhymes for different ages and stages
- Ways to connect and engage with participants in your group
- How to observe interactions and respond based on your observations
- The basics of storytelling

Lisa Hurrle works for Carya and has been facilitating the Parent-Child Mother Goose program for over 20 years. It continues to be the highlight of her week. She sits on the National Board for the Parent-Child Mother Goose program and became a teacher trainer in 2022.
