12 Days of carya is here! From December 1st through 16th, we will celebrate our supporters who have chosen to invest in carya’s essential services.
Community Natural Foods is dedicated to encouraging Calgarians and Canadians alike to live a healthier, more natural life and strive to support the health and well-being of our community. Community Natural Foods believe in shining a spotlight on not-for-profit organizations that do amazing things for people, the community, and our planet!
Last October, carya was the grateful recipient of proceeds raised from Community Natural Food’s Change for the Earth program. This program sees consumers working towards greater sustainability by bringing reusable bags and containers to fill with bulk items. Each time a customer participated in the program, two cents were donated to carya.
Since starting the program in 2012, Community Natural Foods has donated over $213,000 to local charitable organizations.
Proceeds from Change for the Earth will directly support carya’s food programs, including today’s Chow & Chatter event, a free-of-charge monthly meal that will take place at Village Commons and brings individuals together for food, connection, and community-building.
It’s no secret that food is a social medium. It brings people together to talk, bond, and share their stories over plates of food. Our partnership with Community Natural Foods helps us to provide opportunities within our food programs, and we are grateful for their continued support.
We express our deepest gratitude to Community Natural Foods for investing in our community. If you would like to join carya in supporting over 40,000 individuals this holiday season, when and where they need us most, please contact tiffanys@caryacalgary.ca to learn more.
Every day we will feature a partner that makes a difference at carya! Stay tuned for more, and follow #12Daysofcarya on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
