12 Days of carya is here! From December 1st through 16th, we will celebrate our supporters who have chosen to invest in carya’s essential services.
Students enrolled in SAIT’s Project Management course are transforming theory into philanthropy and commerce into the community through a lesson in giving! Student groups from the School of Business took on projects which aimed to raise funds for Calgary-area charities.
On Sunday, November 27th, 2022, a group of five students helped support carya through their unique fundraiser Take Your Bid & Feel the Beat. This event saw five local musicians and bands come together for an afternoon of entertainment and auctions to raise critical funding and awareness for carya 2022 Give the Gift Campaign.
The project encouraged students to work together and form relationships with charities within our community. Beautiful things happen when communities come together, and we feel honoured that this incredible group of students chose carya as their charity of choice to support with this initiative. The event was a huge success, raising over $1,750 for carya’s programs!
Funds raised from Take Your Bid & Feel the Beat will allow carya to Give the Gift of Belonging, Dignity, and Resiliency. Proceeds will provide language-specific counseling sessions, a warm meal, and a point of connection to 25 seniors, and will allow a youth to attend programming that develops mental well-being and a positive sense of self-worth.
carya is honoured to be able to facilitate giving back to our community through these partnerships, as it allows us to provide tangible help for those who need it most. Thank you so much, SAIT! You are making a difference in our community!
