12 Days of carya is here; from December 1st through 16th, we will celebrate our supporters who have chosen to invest in carya’s essential services! We want to celebrate our supporters by showcasing their impact on the community.
This year, carya is grateful to have partnered with Truman Insurance and the Calgary Stampeders Foundation to welcomed hundreds of isolated seniors to a festive holiday lunch at Carriage House Inn.
Nearly 250 seniors were treated to an afternoon of entertainment and a turkey meal served to them by players of the Calgary Stampeders. The seniors were thrilled to be able to celebrate the holidays with others from the community in this way. For many who attended, this lunch may have been their primary outing or opportunity to celebrate the holidays this year.
The holiday season is a great time to connect with your communities, and it’s even better when you have good food to eat. We feel incredibly grateful to Tammy Truman and the Calgary Stampeders Foundation for making this possible.
Through volunteer efforts, individuals and groups can give back to the communities where they live, work, and play.
