Elder abuse is a growing yet often hidden crisis in Alberta’s aging population. At Carya, we believe it’s time to reframe the conversation by moving away from stigma and silence and toward strength and awareness. When all generations are part of the dialogue, we can better recognize the signs, reduce the risks, and support the dignity and safety of older adults in our communities.

A recent Apple Heart and Movement Study found pickleball delivered both physical and mental health benefits. Fern Fernie agrees with the science on pickleball and credits the sport with significant grief support after the sudden passing of her son, Clayton.
